Bishop Montgomery Bolsters Front Court With Junior Transfer Isaiah Johnson
We had the opportunity to drop in on Bishop Montgomery battling against St. Bernard High School for some summer league action. We of course came to watch senior standouts Josh Vazquez '19 & Gianni Hunt '19, but we also wanted to check in on the junior transfer Isaiah Johnson (highlights below).
Isaiah Johnson was CIF Player of the Year for Crean Lutheran last year, taking them all the way to the CIF Championship. Isaiah adds another big skilled body to the Bishop Montgomery front court, making them a serious force this upcoming season. Coach Doug Mitchell plans to have a stellar squad this upcoming season, and we think Isaiah will be a big part of this production. Making great finishes at the rim and serving as an imposing force on the defensive end, Bishop is going to be a serious competitor for another CIF title.
